All Shadforth staff who operate a drone for the purpose of taking photos on site are required to be registered with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

Summary of how to get accreditation:

• Register with myCASA to get an ARN #

• Take the Accreditation Quiz – it is 20 multiple choice questions
• Upload your accreditation to Shadconnect - Under ‘Employee Resources’ > 'My Documents'

In addition to registration, the following is required for every flight:

• A PTA Must be completed in Shadconnect
• The Open Sky app, or CASA's ‘Can i fly here’ app must be checked and must verify your location is safe to fly
• The area must be assessed  to ensure:
  • You are not operating within restricted airspace such as near an aerodrome
  • Wind conditions are appropriate
  • You are not flying over or next to a busy road
  • You will not be flying over, or within 30 meters of people
  • Visual line of site between, o the operator (you) and the drone can, and is maintained
